Oktoberfest – Wunderbar!
It may be German by origin but the Oktoberfest event at the RTP last Thursday made its own local mark on this annual fall festival with local beer on tap, food trucks and entertainment…Even the local weather cooperated! Along with German pretzels, bratwurst and a polka band, celebrations included music by Jo Gore and the Alternative, 
Second Shift A Cappella band and area food trucks providing pizza, sliders and ice cream — adding a distinct American flavor!
Many came out to join in the fun (including a few young chameleons on the loose thanks to the creative expertise of face painters and air brush tattoo artists)… And young and old alike were delighted with the fired up antics of the roaming juggler. Thanks to everyone who came out to participate in this RTP event!
On a personal note… While organizing this event I was reminded just how lucky we are to live and work in a region with so many resources – not only from a professional standpoint but also on a social level as was evidenced by all of the event providers and participants! It was great fun!
